• Ideal for buttered passes and overlay work
• Typically used to weld 309 Series stainless steels
• Has the same qualities as ER309 but with the lower carbon content deemed necessary in many chemical applications.
• Has the same analysis as type 308 except the carbon content has been held to a maximum of .03% to reduce the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation.
